Canada to reopen borders for travelers entering from 5th July

This is only applicable to travellers who have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days before entering Canada. These are the vaccines recognised by Canada: –

  • Pfizer
  • Moderna
  • AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD
  • Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)

Vaccinated travellers must have a paper or digital copy of their vaccination documentation. They must submit all  COVID-19-related information electronically through ArriveCAN before arriving in Canada.

Fully vaccinated international students who meet all requirements will be exempted from mandatory quarantine and will be allowed to go straight to their residences. They must also be asymptomatic and will still have to take pre-and on-arrival COVID testing.

Fully vaccinated travellers do not have to quarantine or take a COVID-19 test on day-8 or stay at a government-authorized hotel. However, if they do not meet all the necessary conditions, they must present a suitable quarantine plan and be prepared to quarantine.

Travellers who are not fully vaccinated must follow the existing testing and federal quarantine requirements and provide COVID-19-related information electronically through ArriveCAN before arriving in Canada. Before their departure to Canada, unvaccinated air travellers must also book a three-night stay at a government-authorized hotel for quarantine.
