This provides Associate membership of CPA Australia, eligibility to study the CPA Australia professional exams and eligibility to study the CAANZ professional exams.

The Accounting major and Accounting (Extended) major are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Association of International Accountants (AIA).

Successful completion of the Accounting major and Accounting (Extended) major can qualify students for exemptions from the Fundamental level (9 papers) of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams.

The Marketing major is accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and students are eligible for credit towards becoming a Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM) upon completion.

With the explosion of data, data analytics professionals are in high demand. Graduates will be well positioned to work as a data analyst, data scientist or data statistician in almost all job sectors including IT, public relations, retail, advertising and banking.

With a combination of theory and clinical simulation in our well-resourced labs and nursing wards, USQ’s Bachelor of Nursing prepares you for practice as a registered nurse, in hospitals, community settings, mental health settings, GP practices, clinics, rural and remote health services and aged care facilities across Australia and the world.

The program aligns with current Australian professional nursing standards of practice and will give you the skills to deliver high-quality nursing care to people of all ages.

Almost 50 percent of the program is devoted to clinical practice within simulated on-campus labs or in health care settings, including large metropolitan hospitals, mental health services, regional health care services, aged care settings, community health services, specialty clinics and rehabilitation centres.

The Bachelor of Nursing at USQ is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and is listed as an approved program with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

The Master of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accounting double degree provides you with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required for professional accounting, while also developing an understanding of the broader management context, better preparing you for senior management roles.

You will receive a separate testamur (official certificate) for each degree and will be able to complete the double degree in less time than if you chose to study the two degrees separately.

Professional accreditation

The program satisfies the educational entrance requirements of both CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). This provides associate membership of CPA Australia, eligibility to study the CPA professional exams and eligibility to study the CAANZ professional exams.

If you are already a graduate in accounting from an overseas university, we recommend that you obtain a qualification assessment from CPA Australia before applying to us. It is possible that you may only be required to complete fewer courses to achieve associate membership. These can be studied through a Graduate Certificate in Business. If you are an overseas candidate seeking membership of your home country accounting body, full members of CPA Australia and/or CAANZ are usually offered reciprocal membership. This is a fast-track to become a qualified accountant in your home country.

You will have the opportunity to decide between two different pathways of research in your masters degree:
