BPP University

BPP University is the first publicly owned company in the UK to obtain degree awarding powers.

This process involved making a detailed application to the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for Higher Education in the United Kingdom, which acted on behalf of the Office for Students. BPP University’s unique approach is education that is academically rigorous but also grounded in practical application that is highly relevant to our students, stakeholders and industry.

It has around 15,000 students, studying across 13 centres, in eight locations across England and online around the world. 70% are full-time, over 64% are on postgraduate programmes, while 80% study face-to-face. 92.4% of our undergraduates went on to get graduate-level jobs or were in further study within six months after graduating. This rose to 95.6% for our postgraduates.

BPP Law School

One of the UK’s leading Law Schools, with over 25 years’ experience delivering professional legal qualifications. Trusted by many of the most influential law firms and 60 leading firms educate their trainees exclusively.

As the route to becoming a solicitor is changing, BPP is leading the way in designing a groundbreaking approach to the SQE that their clients say is already setting BPP graduates apart from other competitors.

By focusing on employability and developing skills as lawyers, BPP give students the edge to secure training contracts and pupillage. BPP employability statistics are testament to this.

BPP University Law School is based in two centres in London (in the heart of ‘legal’ London in Holborn and on the Southbank at Waterloo) and centres in Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds and Manchester

Our new Law Conversion Course (PGDL) has been developed following extensive research with firms, chambers and aspiring lawyers.

On our PGDL, you will learn like a lawyer from the outset, with teaching by experienced solicitors and barristers. Through highly interactive small group teaching sessions, we provide opportunities to apply your growing legal knowledge, professional capabilities and problem-solving skills.

Our approach is trusted by 60 leading law firms, who exclusively send their trainee solicitors to study our LPC. These include four out of five Magic Circle firms and the City Consortium — a group of highly prestigious law firms.° So when the profession trusts us, you can too.

The Legal Practice Course, also known as the LPC, is a postgraduate course that is normally studied after an undergraduate degree or law conversion course.

If you are looking to become a solicitor, the LPC offers the practical knowledge and commercial awareness to succeed in practice. We focus on the skills and the knowledge you need to secure a training contract.

Your learning is built around simulated client portfolios to build the legal skills that employers and recruiters are looking for. Learn from qualified lawyers who can help to shape your career, with links to law firms and in-house teams at every level.
